My Bio
Barb & J.C. live south of Portland, Oregon, and about a hour from the coast. Barb's fiction has appeared in numerous genre magazines and anthologies. J.C.'s poetry, non-fiction, and short fiction have also appeared in many genre publications. Although they have worked together as a writing team from their earliest days, the series/phases and books of the Noble Dead saga are their first novel-length collaborations starting in 2003. Both are ex-academics with masters in English, have worked in academia as well as the private sector, and have taught multiple workshops, classes, and seminars related to fiction writing inside and outside of academia.

Since deciding that general news updates were not worth the time to manually post here, we reconsidered one other notion. Any future releases in TNDS: Tales from the world of the Noble Dead Saga will be featured in this account. We may also consider notices for any future releases of our professionally published works (such as for the saga, or the Mist-Torn Witches by Barb).

The End of Updates

We have decided to terminate doing news updates out of NobleDead.org and BarbHendee.org. It has been a fun experiment in a system outside our usual venues, but DA is too behind the times where social systems are concerned; the return on extra time spent here is too low. However, J.C. will continue using this account for his occasional art/artist of the (semi)week on his author's facebook page.
For any current news on the varied works and projects of Barb & J.C. Hendee, please see NobleDead.org and/or BarbHendee.org.

OH WOW!! The authors of one of my favorite book series (or sagas) is here on dA. Welcome. I love the Noble Dead Saga and own/have read all of the books. I can't get enough of them and can say that they are some of the few books I have read more than twice. Thanks for giving us such an awesome series to read. I am definitely hooked for life.

Hello everyone. Yes, we decided to try a DA account for our social networking, though it's probably one of the least convenient systems we've tried with no way to pump in news except manually. But we'll stick with it and keep the gallery going for our privately published stuff. No, we haven't gone "indie"; it's just for fun... for us and readers.
By the by... is there no email notification system here for when new comments pop up? I suppose we just have to keep stopping by to check in, and maybe it's designed that way.
Now its time to get off the computer for a little while. Between work and play, I don't life my eyes to the real world often enough.

Well I'll be! Y'all both have dA accounts! I did not expect that, though I suppose I shouldn't be surprised. Thank you both for your wonderful series! I started with Vampire Memories, then got hooked on the Noble Dead saga while waiting for the next book to come out. Now that I've read them all, looks like I need to move on to J.C.'s stories! Fantastic work, both of you.
